On the other extreme are the never-Trumpers. They are solidly behind Trump and will rationalize anything he says or does in the name of their vindictive God. They are dominated by evangelical Christians, the same people who justified slavery and Jim Crow in religious terms. They resented immigrants and minorities, feeling that their lives were threatened by outside forces. Many quietly harbored the views he said out loud. The largest are those who have fallen in behind Trump. The Republican Party of 2015 has devolved into three groups. The fact that it has largely gone unchecked is the result of a failure of leadership and an irresponsible right-wing media ecosystem. The strain of anti-democratic authoritarianism that dominates the party has always been in the country’s political bloodstream, but it hasn’t been this dominant in one party in decades, maybe since before the Civil War. The transition of the GOP from Reagan conservativism to reactionary populism happened disturbingly quickly. This time, they’ll try to look like authoritarian blowhards, too. Back in 2016, Trump’s primary opponents tried to look like serious people in contrast to the carnival barker who called people silly names. This year, though, candidates will emulate Trump instead of trying to differentiate themselves. A host of lesser candidates joins the race and Trump consolidates his plurality. They are loyal to the Republican Party.Īs the GOP presidential field unfolds, it looks like a repeat of 2016. Its members and leaders are no longer loyal to the country. It’s a remarkable transformation of a conventional political party into an authoritarian one. After everything we know about him, the GOP leadership will support him if he gets the nomination. PRI party leader Alejandro Moreno said Monday that speculation about the PRI’s demise was wrong and that the party would survive, but as part of a broad opposition coalition of left, right and center groups that will seek to field an alliance candidate in the presidential elections a year from now. After everything we know about Donald Trump–the sexual abuse, January 6, the destructions of norms, the lying, the threats–he’s still the frontrunner for the GOP nomination for president. But the PRI is now a shadow of the old days when it ruled Mexico with a combination of hand-out programs and corruption. The PRI managed to hold on to the governorship of the sparsely populated northern border state of Coahuila, and governs the neighboring state of Durango in coalition with other opposition parties. The result was a new low for the PRI, which held Mexico’s presidency uninterrupted for 71 years until losing power in 2000 elections the party had governed the State of Mexico and its 17 million inhabitants for 94 years until its loss Sunday. With over 99% of precincts counted in a preliminary report, electoral authorities said Monday that Morena’s Delfina Gómez won 52.7% of votes in the State of Mexico - which surrounds Mexico City on three sides - to 44.3% for the PRI’s Alejandra del Moral.ĭel Moral later gave a concession speech acknowledging her defeat. MEXICO CITY (AP) - The ruling party of Mexico’s President Andrés Manuel López Obrador won the governorship of the country’s most populous state, dealing a life-threatening blow to the old ruling Institutional Revolutionary Part y - or PRI - which had governed the State of Mexico without interruption for nearly a century.

At one point she called me back and told me "you have to stop calling me ten times a day if i dont get back to you that means im buisy" i was shocked at the way i was spoken to especially since 3 weeks had passed and I had not heard anything back from her. I submitted everything ***** asked for and sent emails and tried calling many times to ask if she recieved eveeeything she needed. I actually even gave two addresses in case one fell thru. I payed tge applucation fee for a unit and mafe sure to ask if there were any potential applicants before applying and was told there was not and that Id be tge only applicant at that time. After being told there would be a cancellation fee, is when you suddenly decided to say you were dissatisfied with my service.Sincerely, ***************************** You thanked me for meeting the Sheriff's at 3:30 in the morning, for handling boarding up the window, securing locks and repairing the busted door, for sending you the report etc. As mentioned above we have been communicating by both phone and email multiple times in the past few days so why would you state that you've been waiting 2 weeks to hear from me? You have never expressed any dissatisfaction with my service. I told you I had an approved tenant so therefore you would owe a cancellation fee. You called me on March 8th to say you decided to sell. It was in case it wasn't rented within 30 days you wanted to sell. These discoveries protect you as a landlord from tenants with bad financial habits. We have a record of all communication in our system. However, the applicant had a very low credit score and a collection from a prior landlord which I had already explained to you. Her relative applied and I was not at liberty to discuss that with her. So yes, they are given the lockbox code and I verify their work before approving their invoice.Regarding your racist comment, I'm assuming this is in regard to the neighbor that called you who is not a party to the transaction. So, your claim that you've waited 2 weeks for a response is unfounded. We only use trusted, licensed, and insured vendors. In fact, I emailed you Friday and again yesterday. We have emailed 26 times and I always replied promptly. All but 2 of those calls were answered by me. ******, I'm so sorry that you have resorted to leaving a bad review in an effort to get out of paying the cancellation fees that you owe for the work I have completed.I checked my phone records and you have called me 15 times between October 21 and January 23rd. I started this earlier and it’s already starting to look pretty good. Broken pieces that have been put together to make something brand new. (Take out the cross and show it.) What’s a mosaic? It’s a piece of art, created by broken things. How can something broken be made into a beautiful masterpiece? (Show the tiles) Look, they are just bits and pieces. You thought your life would go one way, but it turned out differently. We may come from broken families, homes, relationships. There are other things besides our own sin that can break us too. You may be in a different place in your life than you expected, but God has a purpose for you right where you are. He restored us so we could do the good things HE planned for us long ago. We’re a masterpiece because God loved us so much that he put us back together. We’re not a masterpiece because we’re so beautiful. That He could take broken, sinful people and restore them back to a relationship with Himself. The emphasis in Ephesians 2:10 is not on how beautiful we are, but on how creative God is. But God is so rich in mercy and He loved us so much that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead. We were all far from God because our sin kept us separate from God. Why did He create us anew? Because we were broken. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. The Bible says in 10 For we are God’s masterpiece. At the conclusion of the lesson, invite people up to glue on some of the tiles. Wear safety goggles and gloves to protect yourself.Ĭomplete a small section of the mosaic cross ahead of time to show during the lesson. If using your own tiles, break them ahead of time. I grouted it later and displayed it in our church lobby. I had everyone participate by coming up and gluing on a couple of tiles and I asked them to contemplate which areas in their life God may be wanting to renew. You can make a larger version of this mosaic cross using a 1”x4” board, Mapei adhesive, broken tiles and grout (I found good instructions on Pinterest). Note: For this lesson I am showing you an easy way to make a small mosaic that gets the point across. Use extreme caution if using this lesson with children, or purchase craft tiles with smooth edges. When a hot new car is in low supply, dealerships get flooded with orders, creating both buzz and demand. The hope is that if the car is a hit, the factory will be able to ramp up production relatively quickly, but makers also know that low supply can create buzz around a new product. Of course, it is normal for automakers to have relatively modest targets when they introduce a new vehicle. There is still a long way for the Equinox to go, however, before it can match the sales volume of Chevy's biggest seller, the Silverado pickup, which sold 684,302 units last year. Spokespeople for Chevrolet say they expect between 60,000 and 70,000 Equinoxes to sell this year, and more than 100,000 in 2005. The car has already sold 16,496 units, with 8,945 sold in May alone, outselling Dealers maintain they cannot get Equinoxes in their showrooms fast enough. This completely new vehicle, which hit the showrooms in March, will fit into the Chevy SUV lineup beneath the midsize TrailBlazer. The Equinox, along with the new Malibu Maxx and larger midsize Colorado pickup, is proof that GM is also trying to jazz up its more moderately priced lines as well, not just rehashing existing models as it has done in the past. Great looks, lots of cargo room and competitive price. So far, the change has been most noticeable-and effective-in its Cadillac division, which by the end of 2003 had seen total sales soar 25.6% since 2001, when its current generation of vehicles, beginning with the hugely popular Escalade SUV, was first introduced. Incorporating bold lines and aggressive styling, GM cars are finally relying on more than racing stripes, chrome and mag wheels to give their cars a much-needed dash of sex appeal. No carmaker has made more strides than General Motors. After years of complaints from the public about how European and Japanese cars just look better than American cars, Detroit seems finally to be getting with the program. Previously I wanted to achieve effects like this by using open gl shader language (and I keep want to do it, because you can achieve better effects and more dynamic) but now, doing this in photoshop as I said, I thought of a little solution to just do the chroma aberrationĪfter that all the css is loaded, $( window ). Well, chromatic aberration is one of those things that happens sometimes when you shoot photography, its a real world artifact of the imperfectness of the. Its alongside high contrast edges of a dark or bright area. I made it just trying to fit the two in photoshop by lowering the opacity of one Chromatic aberration, when the patient looks through the optical center of a lens has relatively little effect on his or her vision. Transverse Chromatic Aberration appears as sharp color fringing. Recently I added a feature to change the overall effects by some range sliders that do it by changing some filter css like hue rotation, grayscale, invert and blurĭoing some screenshots I randomly did this! and it's cool!!! You ever have the computer decide it wasn’t going to work a certain tile? No matter how many times you tell it to keep someone assigned to it, the town just keeps moving them away? You can take care of this problem with Shift + Click which will lock the tile with the person assigned to it. Disabling movement and attack animations can save you a ton of time over the course of a dozen hour long game! And whether you’re watching them or not, anything you have vision on actually goes through these movements. Turn Off Animations to Save TimeĪ lot of the time you spend in Civilization is just watching animations play out. Use this feature to make smart decisions, and to make your future cities as productive as possible. Turning on the tile yield icons in the map options will show how much food, production, culture, science, and faith a particular tile is worth while being worked. Civ experts can recognize the value of a tile just by looking at it, but for the rest of us it may not be immediately apparent. Someone building up to a Culture victory? Now you know to target them first. With harder difficulties it’s really good to be able to cut off your opponents before they get too far ahead. Just go into the Options, Interface, and check “Show Yields in HUD Ribbon.” You can use this to track their score, military might, science, culture, religion, gold, you name it! Obviously this might be consider this cheating, but it’s a good way to stay aware of what’s going on in your matches. So, let’s get that snowball rolling, shall we?Ī little known fact is it’s possible to see every civilization’s yields at all time. Whatever the case, there’s bound to be something here for veterans and newcomers alike! Some are universal and are useful in nearly every game, while others are more situational and depend on your starting conditions. To steer you in the right direction, we’ve put together this list of early game tips. Truly, the early game-say, the first 100 turns or so-is the foundation upon which your empire will flourish or flounder. In Civ VI, your early game decisions represent building the snowball and gently tossing it in the hopes that, come the late game, it’s an unstoppable force that has gained too much momentum to be slowed. At first, it’s a small, harmless thing, but as time goes on, it grows in size until it’s capable of mowing down everything in its path. And I’m the biggest Civ IV and V fan.A game of Civilization is a lot like rolling a snowball down hill. But nope, they’ve done nothing but try to convince me from the moment Civ VI came out on PC and every release after that, that I just don’t need any version of Civ 6 in my life. WHich is fine, frankly not including the expansions was enough to turn me off, but Asynchronous multiplayer could have changed my mind. But then they were like “Oh, clearly no one cares for Asynchronous multiplayer” and haven’t given it a chance again. And it worked well! It’s just the game was basic and shitty. But Civ developers refuse to give the Asynchronous thing a chance. I’ve played other games that do it so well, and Civilization V has something called Giant Multiplayer Robot, a third party solution to make it possible. Sending turns back and forth like play by email, but within the client. WHat about Asynchronous? Why do we immediately just sweep Asynchronous under a rug when it’s clearly the obvious way to play Civilization. |
